I am...

Updated: Apr 14, 2021

The nap of my hair

The fall of my breasts

The dark of my skin

I am black

The poetry in my veins

The spirit that doesn't break

The fairness that sneaks in

I am dark

I am woman I am total but not one

I am searching for the one

I am crisis

Loud yet silent

Mistreated yet trusting

Mother to bastard baby

I am loud and tired

I am fighting

Called ugly

I am fragile and strong

Held loosely in pigs hand

I am brazen

Thoughtless

Thoughtful even

I am unloved

I am searching for the one

I am queen

I am queer

I am queen

The thickness of my lips

The brightening of my hips

The darkness of my eyes

It's all there

I am total in one

I am black

I am dark I am woman

I am the one
