Cigarettes and broken dreams

She took a long drug of her cigarette

And stared directly into nothingness

But if you looked close enough you'd see her mind race

Race past dark thoughts and escape rooms

Where she lost time in illusive happiness

Only to be caught in the arms of reality

She searched, rampaged and mobbed

hearts that were only but battered

for the love that Disney promised in those days where

innocence riddled itself with laughter

She took a long drug of her cigarette

letting her breath float in its smoke

Wishing this was more that tobacco
