SYNOPSIS

Having been raised in a Christian household, Chris (Frederick Yeboah) faces the challenge of finding his place in the world, particularly due to his two mothers who chose to keep their relationship hidden. When one of his mothers, Paddy, passes away, Chris returns home to a familiar yet unchanged environment. In a heartfelt effort to honour Paddy's memory, Chris impulsively makes a decision that jeopardizes his relationship with his remaining family, his other mother, Mami Tess (Jolade Obasola).

HEAD OF PRODUCTION

REBEKKA SCHUG was born in Bergisch Gladbach in 1996. She grew up in Frankfurt am Main, where she passed her Abitur in 2014 and received her B. Sc. in Business Administration (specialising in Management & Marketing) from the Johann Wolfgang von Goethe University in 2018. After attaining her first degree, she completed various internships in the film and television industry. Since 2020, she has been studying Production and Media Business at the University of Television and Film Munich and hopes to pursue a career as a creative producer.

DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY

NOAH BÖHM is a German-Ghanaian cinematographer based in Munich. Growing up in southern Germany influenced by his Ghanaian mother, two very different visual cultures became part of his sensibility as a cinematographer. After gaining experience in post-production through studying Film-Design/VFX, he started working as a freelance DoP. In 2019, he enrolled at the HFF Munich for cinematography studies.

MYKYTA GIBALENKO was born in Melitopol, Ukraine in 1993 and grew up in Kyiv. At the age of 20 he emigrated to Germany to study mechanical engineering at the Technical University of Munich. At the same time, he began making his own short films. After graduating from university and working as an engineer for a year, he changed his career to film and worked with the Munich independent theater scene, among others. Mykyta is now studying directing at the University of Television and Film in Munich.
