Life is not a competition, but I'm winning

In a poetic-radical utopia, LIFE IS NOT A COMPETITION, BUT I’M WINNING  whirls up the stereotypical gender rules in competitive sport. The film sets out in search of the queer-feminist potential in the Olympic disciplines of running and creates a world beyond rigid gender images.

A Room without windows or doors

September 1st, 2011: night falls around an old, renovated barn in the English countryside. In this new, alien, place I feel isolated from the only world I had ever known. I am at cusp of adulthood, and filled with uncertainty about what will become of me in the future. Alone in this strange dark place, a train of thought and imagination is unleashed that changes my whole world. We follow a long night of the soul right up to the edge of solipsism.
